Event Description:
Middlebury residents can bring items for disposal--wood products, furniture etc. However, please be reminded that this clean-up activity can NO LONGER accept the following items due to their designations as "Hazardous Materials:"
--Herbicides
--Pesticides
--Solvents
--Paint [of any kind, dry or wet]
--Oil
--Tires
--Refrigerators, air conditioners, de-humidifiers
NOTE: These prohibited items may be dropped off the first Saturday of every month at the new Elkhart County Correctional Facility at the corner of CR 7 and CR 26.
Electronics items [TV's, computer monitors, keyboards, towers etc] to be trashed/recycled may be disposed of by contacting ADEC or WINTERGREEN. Please do not bring them to the Middlebury community clean-up activities.
ADEC--accepts all electronic waste and will pick up and trasport discarded items. Call 574.389.7457 ext. 543
WINTERGREEN--accepts computers, TV's and monitors whether or not in working condition. Address: 2510 Sterling Avenue, Elkhart. Call 574.295.9054
