Sprint Triathlon
Registration is now open for the USAT Sanctioned 2012 Middlebury Area Sprint Triathlon. This year’s race will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Northridge High School. This unique event in Northern Indiana offers something for everyone. This course will appeal to youth due to the swim, bike, and run all being held around the Northridge High School campus. The adult triathlon will offer the indoor pool swim coupled with a challenging bike ride through the hilly country roads of Middlebury.
To register, please go to www.thtiming.com. Adult Registrations Cost: $60, Youth Registrations: $40. Adult Relay entries for $120.00. Registrations will be limited to the first 250 participants. REGISTER EARLY! There will be NO REFUNDS if the event is canceled due to inclement weather nor will the event be rescheduled.
Some reasons to join in the fun:
* T-Shirts for all participants
* Shorter distances provided for younger age groups
* Well designed bike and run routes with secure transition area.
* Scenic bike route course manned by police and volunteer personnel.
* Great awards
* Post race food for all participants.

Sunday, May 27, 2012 RACE DAY DETAILS/AWARDS
6:30-8:30 am- MANDATORY- Sign In, bib/chip assignment and marking.
6:30 am -Transition area open.
7:30 am- Pool will be open until 8:15 am for warm-ups.
8:30 am -Transition area closes for all participants.
8:30 am -Adult Pre-Race Meeting (Mandatory) There will be a mandatory meeting for all participants to cover event rules and course updates. This meeting will take place in the gym.
9:00 am Adult Course Race begins
All participants will start in the pool in approximate 10 second intervals. Racers will lined up for the swim according to their self reported 100 yard swim time.
9:30 am Youth Pre-Race Meeting
9:45 am Youth Course Race begins directly after youth pre-race meeting.
11:15 am Awards-Kids/Youth Course
(5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-16, 17-18)
11:20 am Awards-Adult Course Top three female and male finishers
(13-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 and older)
Female and Male Relay awards
Additional awards will be given to the overall top 3 male and female Adult Course Race Participants.
